Web Series Work [cracked]: Shubhratri 2019

One of the strongest pillars of Shubhratri is its casting. The series benefits immensely from grounded performances that avoid the melodrama typical of traditional Indian television.

Unlike mainstream series that overuse background scores, Shubhratri used ambient noise: the sound of a ceiling fan, distant temple bells at 10 PM, and the crackle of a phone line.
