The story follows twin brothers, Hal and Bill, who discover their father's old wind-up toy monkey in the attic. They soon realize that every time the monkey claps its cymbals, someone close to them dies in a horrific accident. After a series of gruesome deaths, the brothers attempt to discard the toy and drift apart. However, years later, the cursed monkey resurfaces, forcing the brothers to reunite to find a way to destroy it for good before it takes everyone they love.
