Indian culture is often perceived through exoticized lenses—spirituality, colorful festivals, hierarchical social orders, and ancient texts. This paper seeks to answer: How do contemporary Indians reconcile ancient cultural norms with the demands of a globalized, neoliberal economy? By examining family structures, food, dress, and digital consumption, this paper demonstrates that Indian lifestyles are characterized by "patchwork" modernity—selectively retaining, rejecting, or reinventing tradition.
