Believe it or not, the Kontakt Factory Library (free with Kontakt) contains a patch called "Funk Guitars." It is a stripped-down version of Scarbee. It doesn't have the rhythm engine, but it has the raw samples. You can program the rhythm manually by drawing MIDI notes on C3, D3, E3 (mutes). You lose the strumming engine, but gain 100% stability.
