The story revolves around Siva (Jiiva), a carefree, happy-go-lucky young man who spends most of his time drinking with his friends and playing pranks. While traveling on a train, he meets Sakthi (Anuya). Siva gets into an argument with her and, to pass the time, narrates a fake, tragic backstory about his life to gain her sympathy. He claims he is a heartbroken widower, which makes Sakthi feel sorry for him.
