The movie follows the story of Hassan Kadam (played by Manish Dayal), a young Indian chef who dreams of opening his own restaurant. After a series of unfortunate events, Hassan and his family arrive in France, where they decide to open a restaurant in the small town of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. The restaurant, called Le Hundred Foot Journey, is situated just a hundred feet away from the Michelin-starred restaurant, La Belle Époque, owned by the infamous chef, Monsieur Dupont (played by Clive Weston).
